Perfect PUDLO Watertight Concrete Performance
PUDLO concentrated waterproofing powder was used in the redevelopment of the Royal Albert Hall (www.royalalberthall.com) - this year's Supreme Winner at the Construction Awards.
In order to improve the facilities, release space and improve accessibility the majority of renovation work was carried out below ground. A huge, four-storey basement was built on the famous site. The BBA approved PUDLO admixture system was chosen to provide integral waterproofing to the below ground concrete because it works without the need to install membranes.
The system is accompanied by an insurance-backed guarantee and the manufacturer provides onsite technical support and advice throughout a project.
PUDLO was also used on The Grove (www.thegrove.co.uk), which won a highly commended honour for Galliford Try Construction (www.gallifordtry.co.uk) in the Medium Project category.
Water- resistant concrete was used to build a new swimming pool and underground leisure club.
