David Ball Group plc, manufacturers of PUDLO, the world's first waterproofing cement admixture, has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 for its management systems by National Quality Assurance.
The rigorous accreditation process took just one day due to efficient procedures, competent personnel, and accurate product control practices in place at the company's factory in Bar Hill, Cambridge. David Ball, Chairman, said "PUDLO has provided integral waterproofing to basements, swimming pools, tunnels, bridges and other similar structures for over 100 years. However, as well as relying on this long track record it is equally important to continually look at methods of improvement and to successfully gain up-to-date accreditation that formally recognises our commitment to excellence.
The NQA award together with the BBA certificate is a reflection of the company's expertise and crucially gives our customers confidence in the products and services they receive from us.
The standards we have obtained are part of the reason we can boldly provide warranties and guarantees for the performance of our products when used in construction projects".
Oliver Minett, the Production Director, said "We are now in the process of changing our packaging and literature from the 9002 to incorporate the 9001 mark.
We supply standard reference materials and cementitious systems throughout the UK and to overseas markets such as Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Poland.
It is therefore tremendously beneficial to be able to include the ISO 9001, a mark internationally recognised as evidence of our commitment to meeting customer expectations by providing outstanding levels in quality control".
